Route Description

CLASSIC COURSE

After about 700 meters from the start the route presents the first ascent that will lead to the Torre Beregna pass: 5.4km at an average gradient of 3.5% may suggest an easy ascent but this is not the case. In fact it can be classified as a 3rd category climb that we must divide and analyze in two sections: the first 1.3km to 7.8% average (max 13.7%) and a second 1.9km section to 5.8 % average (max 8.2%) interspersed with a slight descent. Surely there will be the first selection of the group and it will be necessary to warm up very well to face this first ascent in the best way. At 6,100 km from the road there will be the pass and the descent will start towards Villa d’Aria, then Castel S. Venanzo and finally Serrapetrona interspersed with short ups and downs.
