Regulation of terre of the varano 2020

1. General characteristics
The ASD Avis Frecce Azzurre organizes for Sunday, July 12, 2020, an amateur cycling race called "Granfondo Terre dei Varano", Memorial Dario Drago, Francesco Gentili and Alberto Pennesi, with departure and arrival in Camerino (MC).
The event will be valid as a test of the ACSI National Championship of Granfondo and the Marche Marathon circuits, Romagna Challenge, and the combined Terre and Fossi Maceratesi with the "9 Fossi" and Challenge Terre dei Varano with the Terre dei Varano Off-road.
The "Granfondo Terre dei Varano" will take place on two routes:

• Marathon route of km 150 with a difference in height of mt. 3,150; the maximum time will be 9 hours;

• Classic route of km 115 with a difference in height of mt. 1,900; the maximum time will be 6 hours.

 

 

2. Participation in the event
It is reserved for amateur cyclists of both sexes, with a minimum age of 19 and a maximum of 75, belonging to the ACSI, FCI and other sports promotion bodies recognized by CONI which guarantee the prescribed insurance coverage and the criterion of reciprocity, are in possession of medical sports fitness for the practice of competitive cycling under the DM of 18/2/1982, are in order with the membership for the current year.
Cyclists coming from Foreign Federations with a card recognized by the UCI, can participate after signing the Ethics Declaration.
Cyclists with a minimum age of 19 (calendar year of birth) and a maximum age of 65 can participate in any type of path and will be included in the relevant rankings according to the disputed route.
Cyclists over the age of 65 can only participate in the Medium Course and will be able to compete in both the ranking for the route and for the company.
The amateur cyclists can also choose the "alla Francese" departure starting from 6:15am to 6:45am.
All members of the competitive categories (Professionals, Elite, Under 23, Juniores, men and women) if invited by the Organizing Committee can participate in the event only as testimonial, off the charts and without affecting the result of the race.
The participation of former athletes is allowed only under certain conditions (see full regulations attached at the bottom of the page).

Cyclists not regularly registered can not enter the Granfondo, under penalty of immediate expulsion. In case of an accident they will be reported according to the law.
The Granfondo Terre dei Varano is an invitation-only event, so the Organizing Committee may at any time and at its sole discretion decide whether to accept or refuse the registration or exclude a member from the event, if it causes damage to the image.

 

With the signing and submission of the registration form the competitor self-certifies the inexistence of sporting, civil and / or penal sanctions, of not having in progress referring to doping events and declaring that he has not hired - and not to hire - substances included in the anti-doping list of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The false self-certification will be prosecuted according to the law.
In the case of positive anti-doping checks carried out in the Granfondo Terre dei Varano, the competitor is required to pay the ASD Avis Frecce Azzurre, as compensation for the serious damage caused to the event's image, the sum of € 20,000 (twenty thousand/00) . Belonging to a sports association, the latter will be jointly obliged to pay the fine.

 

Daily card
For those who are not in possession of the annual membership card and would like to participate in the event, there is the possibility for Avis Frecce Azzurre to issue a daily card including legal insurance coverage at a cost of Euro 10 in addition to the normal registration costs.
The daily card is issued only on Saturday 11th July from 10 am to 8 pm in the secretarial offices. To obtain the daily Cyclist card, it is essential to present an identification document, a medical certificate for the practice of competitive cycling and sign the ethical declaration.
We remind you that the daily card has temporal validity exclusively limited to participation in the Terre dei Varano, ie not before and not after the same.

FITRI members (Italian Triathlon Federation)
They can participate by subscribing to the daily Amateur Cycle card by presenting the medical certificate for the practice of competitive cycling and signing the ethical declaration.

Cancellation of participation
A cancellation sent before 12 June 2020 will be considered valid and any registration fee will be considered valid for the next edition of the "Granfondo Terre dei Varano".

Event cancellation
If for reasons of force majeure or any other kind not attributable to the organization (including the failure to grant authorizations from the competent Authorities), the event should not take place or should be moved by date, the registration fee will not be returned.

Exclusion from the Event
The Granfondo Terre dei Varano is an invitation-only event, so the Organizing Committee may at any time and at its sole discretion decide whether to accept the registration or exclude a member from the event, should it cause damage to the image of the same.
Given that it is not appreciated the participation of those who have suffered sanctions and / or disqualifications on doping, requests for registration of those who have been “non-negative” or have had sanctions and / or disqualifications exceeding six months imposed will not be accepted. by sporting and / or ordinary justice or having referrals or suspension measures for doping. The aforementioned provision concerns any member of the Sports Promotion Bodies and of the Federations.
The amateur cyclist who signs up to the Terre dei Varano aware of the infringement of this article will be excluded from the competition and in the case of payment of sums they will not be returned; the exclusion communication may take place at any time and in any way by the Organizing Committee.

3. Transfer of the race number / race place the event
Participants who have correctly registered and therefore have a place in the race, can assign the place in the "transfer period" (01-28.06.2020) and transfer the race number to other non-registered persons. The cost for the sale and modification is € 10. For organizational reasons, the transfer is possible only in the transfer period.

It is not possible to transfer the "special race places" as well as the race places subject to particular conditions (for example those of the contingent of the organizers, prize competitions, sponsors and those dedicated to the media, etc.).
To transfer the race place, you must complete the transfer form completely (only during the "transfer period") on the Event website. After the Organization has examined the information, the runner to whom the race place was assigned, receives a link to complete the payment for the transfer and modification of the € 10 race seat - to be carried out by 03.07.2020 at the latest. After making the payment, the tender place becomes active and can also be displayed in the list of participants. The person who sold the tender is no longer registered and cannot be among the participants.
The sale of the race number for profit is strictly prohibited. Any profit-making activity (eg sale, auction, etc.) will be pursued by the Organization. The for-profit assignment involves the exclusion of registration and the blocking of the registration, both for those who sell the tender place and for those who receive it.
When the race place is sold, all legal conditions are transferred to those who receive the place. The recipient also undertakes to comply with all laws and regulations, the conditions of registration and participation as well as the rules and regulations. Moreover, those who receive the race place accept the privacy information.

4. Race numbers and race packs
The race numbers and race packs will be delivered to Camerino on Saturday, July 11th from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 to 8 pm and on Sunday 12 July from 6 am to 7 am.
To collect the race number and package must show:

• the letter of invitation, sent by e-mail the weeks immediately preceding the race, together with an identification document;

• the sports card and the medical certificate valid, if they have not been uploaded to the Endu platform.

 
The withdrawal of the number and race packet on behalf of another member or to belong to a single company can only be delivering to the organization of a specific module and attaching a copy of the identification and the person who withdraws.

5. Registration fee
The registration fee is fixed at:
•    € 25 from 01/11/19 to 15/11/19
•    € 30 from 16/11/19 to 31/12/19
•    € 35 from 01/01/20 to 30/06/20
•    € 40 from 01/07/20 to 10/07/20
•    € 45 on Saturday 11 July 2020
•    Charity in grid of merit € 80
•    Loyal € 25
•    Differently disabled for free.

 

The entry fee for the combined Terre dei Varano Challenge (combined Mtb and Road race; see the Score, Rankings and Prizes section) is fixed in:
• € 40 from 01/11/19 to 15/11/19;
• € 50 from 11/16/19 to 02/28/20;
• € 60 from 01/03/20 to 30/04/20.

 

The registration fee for the combined Terre e Fossi Maceratesi (combined Mtb 9 Fossi and Terre dei Varano race; see the Score, Rankings and Prizes section) is set at € 25 (in addition to the 9 Fossi registration).

 

On Saturday 11th July on-site registration will be possible from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 to 8 pm at the Secretariat, paying the fee of Euro 45. In this case the organization does not guarantee the race package. Registration will not be allowed on Sunday 12 July.
The registration fee entitles the race pack, medical and technical assistance during the race, supplies during the race and on arrival, secure parking of the bike, final pasta party, timing organized by Krono Service, awards as per regulation.
 
Reduction of the registration fee for groups of 11 to 20 members 2 euros per person; over 21 members 3 euros per person. Group discounts can not be combined and registration must be made in a single solution.

 

Charity registrations in the merit grid
There are 10 race numbers available for purchase at a cost increased by 80 euros by 30 June 2020, which entitle them to be deployed on the grid of Merit and whose proceeds will be donated to the charity of the Raffaello Association (www.associazioneraffaello.org).

 

The Loyalists who are always present at the past 11 competitive editions can register by paying the fee of Euro 25 until 30 June 2020 and will be deployed in a special starting grid. 
 

 

6. Enrollment mode (exclusively online)
Directly on the website www.terredeivarano.it using the Endu platform which guarantees the regularity and security of the transaction with payment of the participation fee by credit card, debit card or by bank transfer indicating which Avis Frecce Azzurre beneficiary at the Banca dei Sibillini branch di Camerino, IBAN: IT74 G 08456 68830 000000054425, from abroad SWIFT BIC: ICRAITRRCO0 (last zero character), specifying in the reason "Subscription Granfondo Terre dei Varano road".

7. Starting grids
The meeting is scheduled from 06:15 on Sunday 12 July in Camerino, Ottaviani street, at the “Sottocorte Village” from where you will access the starting grids.
Separate departures will be made:

- Marathon at 7:30 am
- Classic at 8:00 am

The opening of the grilles is set at 6:50 for both routes, while the closing will follow the following schedule:
- Marathon route grid closes at 7:20 am;
- Classic route grid closing at 7:50 am
Beyond these times you will be lined up in the last grid.
The choice of the route to be carried out will be communicated in advance at the time of registration by marking the corresponding route in the form, and in any case the choice of entry will be valid in the specific grid of the chosen route.
From the time of crossing the starting line it will no longer be possible to change the route and therefore the person who leaves at 7.30 will have to complete only the long route and who leaves at 8.00 am will have to complete the average route.

 

French start
In addition to the normal group departure procedures scheduled for 7:30 am, for 8:00 am the possibility is also included for those who wish to start with the "French" mode for both routes.

The "French start" will be possible from 6:15 and until 6:45.
It is however mandatory to use the electronic chip and the bib number applied to the jersey and to the handlebars of the bicycle.
The detection of the departure time will start from the moment of the obligatory passage on the Kronoservice carpet at the beginning of the route. and it will be possible to cover both routes.
It is mandatory to respect the Highway Code paying particular attention to the crossings that will not yet be supervised by the organization's staff.
Who uses the "departure to French" will have to proceed along the course of the race without interfering or conditioning the conduct of the competitive race leaving easily overcome by the head of the race. Those who are surprised with incorrect attitudes will be excluded from the rankings together with any other competitors involved and complacent.
At the end of the event the list of competitors will be drawn up with "French start" in alphabetical order with the sole indication of the travel time, and the prizes will be drawn by withdrawals from the interested parties showing the sports card.
Returning within the maximum time limit set by the organization, ie by 4:30 pm, the distance between the two routes with the "departure to French" mode will still be valid for the classification of the circuits belonging to the Granfondo Terre dei Varano.
The choice of routes (Classic or Marathon) is free and will be decided by the participants at the time of entry into the specific starting grids.
The choice of distance with "French start" mode must be declared at the time of registration.

- first 3 in the Romagna Challenge category 2019

(*): those included in the ACSI list of merit, to be included in the Grid of Merit must be registered by July 5, 2019; the registrations received subsequently will be inserted in the best available grid.

First grid: reserved for the Fedelissimi, for the 1st 2017/2018 series, at Kronoservic Ranking is.
Second grid: reserved for the various circuit subscribers.

Third grid: all the other members will take place in chronological order.

 

Will be disqualified who will not result in the assigned grid and who will not be left.
The departure will be at a controlled speed for the first kilometers.

 

8. Score, rankings and awards
The ACSI rules are applied for rankings and scores.

The awards will be made at the arrival: the first 5 of each category will be awarded for the Classic and Marathon routes and the first 10 companies with the largest number of starters.
On the first arrival of the Marathon course the Francesco Gentili trophy will be awarded.
The Alberto Pennesi trophy will be awarded to the first arrival of the Classic course.
The Dario Drago trophy will be awarded to the first classified of the Sarnano-Sassotetto hill trial of the Marathon route.
Draw prizes will be awarded to participants with Departure to French.

 

Membership circuits
Competitors who wish to be included in the classifications or obtain the patents of the circuits to which the Terre dei Varano belongs must consult and comply with the regulations of the circuits themselves.

 

Terre and Fossi Maceratesi
Combined cycling road "Terre dei Varano" and MTB "9 Fossi" (scheduled in Cingoli April 26, 2020).
For the participation in the combined Terre and Fossi it is essential to have been classified in the long route of the 9 Fossi, and according to the type of route chosen at Terre dei Varano two classifications will be drawn with the sum of travel times of the two routes chosen:
- Biker Trophy: for the classified in the Classic route of the Terre dei Varano.
- Super Biker Trophy: for the classified in the Marathon course of the Terre dei Varano.
The first 3 classified of each trophy will be rewarded.
It is essential to sign the specific Terre e Fossi registration form at a cost of € 25 available at the bottom of the page.
In the same way, by registering for the 9 Fossi, the participation in the Terre e Fossi combination must be indicated in the registration form.

 

Challange Terre dei Varano

Combined between the Terre of the Varano Road and the Terre of the Varano Off-Road organized by Avis Frecce Azzurre on April 5th, 2020 in Camerino.

To be admitted to the ranking it is essential to register cumulatively for the two events at a cost of € 40 from 01/11/2019 to 15/11/2019, € 50 from 16/11/2019 to 28/02/2020, € 60 from 01/03/2020 to 04/30/2020.
Two classifications will be drawn up:
•    Long TdV off-road / Classic TdV road
•    Long TdV off-road / Marathon TdV road
The first three of each ranking will be awarded for the sum of times of the two events.
 

Eagle Trophy
From the collaboration between the G.C. Michele Scarponi and the Avis Frecce Azzurre, born the I ° Trofeo dell'Aquila in memory of Michele. Taking into consideration the Granfondo Michele Scarponi scheduled in Filottrano on April 19th, 2020 and the Granfondo Terre dei Varano scheduled in Camerino on July 12, 2020.

The trophy will be awarded to the one who will obtain the shortest time resulting from the sum of the times of the hill climbs at San Vicino for the first and the Sassotetto for the second.
The awarding of the trophy will take place on July 14th in Camerino during the Granfondo Terre dei Varano awards ceremony.

 

 

9. Controls and Timing (Chip 2020 Rules)
Checks will be carried out on departure, on arrival and on a surprise route. The management of the controls will be carried out by Krono Service. The lack of even a single detection of a control entails the automatic exclusion from the rankings.
The race number must be clearly visible on the handlebar of the bicycle and on the ridge of the jersey.

Maximum time:
- for the Marathon course of 150 km, it will be 9 hours;
- for the Classic route of 115 km, it will be 6 hours.

 

The timing service will be provided by Krono Service. Each athlete must be fitted with his own chip to be classified-

All other chips will not be functional.
The chip must be regularly ENABLED for the current season. The "KS Personal Chip" ENTRY can be carried out in the tender at the Punto Chip for the price of 10 €uro or on the endu.net platform for the price of 7.5 €uro.
It will NOT be possible to enable ORANGE Personal Chips ONLINE.
Failure to enable the Chip will result in exclusion from the race ranking.

The athlete who is not yet in possession of the "Personal Chip KS" can buy it directly at the Punto Chip in the delivery area of the race packages at the price of 15 €uro. It will be immediately enabled for the 2020 season.

Alternatively it will be possible to rent a Daily Chip valid EXCLUSIVELY for the event, upon payment of a deposit of 10 €uro with a return of 5 €uro upon return.
The return will be organized near the arrival thirty minutes after the arrival of the first competitor of the longest route up to thirty minutes after the arrival of the last competitor of the event.
The chip must be positioned with the appropriate plastic support on the seat post.
ATTENTION: the timing service is NOT guaranteed for those who do not position the chip correctly.
 

10. Refreshments, Pasta Party and Showers

There will be four refreshments on the Marathon course, two refreshments on the Classic route in addition to the one on arrival, common for both. In refreshment stands along the routes, no flying refueling will be carried out.
The Pasta Party on arrival will be prepared by the cooks of the Corsa alla Spada and will be served near the finish.
The man-woman showers service will be available at university sports facilities in Le Calvie, with shuttle bus service for those in need.
 

11. Mechanical and Healthcare assistance
Mechanical assistance is provided on the itinerary exclusively by the body in conjunction with the broom wagon service.

Health assistance is on the way from dedicated personnel, in ambulances and fixed positions.

 

12. Vehicles
The Organizing Committee will not issue any vehicle authorization to circulate within the platoon, therefore in compliance with the instructions issued by the competent Authorities, THE CIRCULATION OF ALL VEHICLES BETWEEN THE "START CYCLING RACE" AND THE "END OF CYCLING RACE" IS PROHIBITED excluding the vehicles of the organization that will be identified through specific marks, then the assistance of any kind by private vehicles following the race is not allowed under penalty of disqualification of the athlete.

 

13. Helmet and Traffic laws
It is mandatory to wear a helmet, under penalty of disqualification.
Please note that the "Granfondo Terre dei Varano", even if there are charts and scores, is an amateur event and takes place on roads open to traffic. Therefore, all participating cyclists must keep the right and respect the highway code. Although not covered, the ACSI regulation applies. The organization declines all responsibility before, during and after the event.

14. Bans
The participation with another competitor's race number, the assignment of the race number to others, the departure in a grid previous to the one assigned or other serious fact that will be detected by the organization, will cause either the immediate ousting from the event or the exclusion from the classification and the disqualification from the event from one to five years. In the most serious cases, the disqualification may be for life. The above measures will be adopted by the organization. Competitors who throw objects of any kind outside the designated areas will be disqualified and can not participate the following year. The disqualifications made by the Entities to which the participants belong will be able to lead to the exclusion from the starting list at any time at the discretion of the organization. The organization reserves the right to take action if it observes an unsportsmanlike behavior tending to distort the order of arrival of the race. It is strictly forbidden, under penalty of disqualification or exclusion, the use of bicycles provided with any kind of support or aid of an electric and / or electronic type, with the exception of the electromechanical gearbox.

15. Sanctions
By signing and sending the registration form, the competitor self-certifies the non-existence of sporting sanctions, civil and / or criminal, of not having any referrals for doping related facts and declares that he / she has not hired - and not hired - substances included in the anti-doping list of the World Antidoping Agency (WADA). The false self-certification will be prosecuted according to the law.
In the event of positive anti-doping checks carried out in the Granfondo Terre dei Varano, the competitor is required to pay ASD Avis Frecce Azzurre, by way of compensation for the serious damage caused to the image of the event, the sum of Euro 20,000 (twenty thousand / 00 ). Belonging to a sports association, the latter will be jointly obliged to pay this penalty.

 

16. Treatment of personal data    
Participation in the Event involves the processing of the participants' personal data for the purposes and in the manner described in the Organizer's Privacy Policy.
The data controller is the Organizer.
By registering for the Event, the participant confirms that he has carefully read the Privacy Policy of the Organizer and expresses his consent to the use of his personal data pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 and following.

 

17. Use of participants' images
The methods of conducting the Event include the making of video-photographic shots in order to document the event; among the services connected to the registration to the Event, the Organizer also offers the possibility to all participants to purchase the photos and videos of the Event in which their image is present.

18. Complaints    
Complaints are allowed for a fee of Euro 50 (fifty), within 30 minutes of the display of arrival orders, which can only be returned if the complaint is accepted.

 

19. Conduct obligations and Disclaimer    
The participant recognizes that cycling events in general and participation in the Event (including side events) in particular involve a wide variety of dangers. The participant acknowledges the dangers for the physical safety and accepts to take this risk, aware of the dangers to which he incurs.
The participant acknowledges that the roads are not completely closed to traffic and in any case not for the entire duration of the entire Event. The current road traffic regulations apply here: the participant must be informed of the rules, which must be followed by each participant. If the Organization detects violations of traffic regulations, the personal data of the participants are forwarded to those in charge.
For their own safety and that of all others, the participants undertake to respect the laws in force and the regulations established by the Organization (for example, use of the helmet, prohibition of support vehicles, etc.), as well as the instructions dictated by the bodies competent or of the Organization (Direction of the race, safety officers, etc.). Violations can lead to disqualification and cancellation of registration and the participant can be held responsible according to the general rules.
The participant confirms that he has checked his equipment and that the latter is in suitable conditions, compliant with the law and suitable for participation in the Event.

IMPORTANT 

By registering all the participants declare that they fully understand the present regulations and undertake to maintain during the race a behavior of correctness towards others and respect for the places crossed.
ASD AVIS FRECCE AZZURRE declines any responsibility for what may happen to participants, third parties and things before, during and after the event.
For anything not covered in this document, the ACSI regulation applies. For the circuits belonging to and for the National ACSI Championship, the individual regulations that can be consulted on the respective sites must be respected.
For the best outcome of the event, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes to these regulations that will be promptly disclosed to participants through announcements on the official website www.terredeivarano.it.
By signing up for the registration form, you declare to be in possession of a regular card for the performance of sporting activities valid for the current year and to be in possession of the medical certificate pursuant to the Ministerial Decree of 18/02/1982, insurance for civil responsibility towards third parties and having read the present regulation, accepting it unconditionally in every point.
 

We also declare:

• to have the regulatory requirements;

• to know the characteristics of the event and to be in psychophysical conditions suitable for participation;

• to want to adapt to the regulations, to the indications of the Race Direction and of the personnel assigned to the organization;

• to allow the use of their data by the parties involved in organizing the event in compliance with Legislative Decree 196/03;

• to allow the use of photographs, filmed images, recordings, arising from its participation in the event for any legitimate purpose, including advertising;

• to renounce any liability or recourse against the organizing company, its partners or suppliers, the personnel assigned to the organization, sponsors and sponsors in any way, deriving from its participation in the event and its events side

This is the case for those who register individually either by form, on-line, by letter, by fax or by group registration.

 

By sending the registration form, the cyclist expressly declares under his own responsibility to be in possession of the medical certificate pursuant to the Ministerial Decree of 18.02.1982, of insurance for civil responsibility towards third parties and of having read the present regulation, accepting it unconditionally in every point.

Furthermore, by sending the registration form, the participant, together with the representative of his team, self-certifies the non-existence of sports sanctions for doping, civil and / or penalties exceeding 6 months, even if discounted and declares not to have taken - and not to take - substances included in the anti-doping list of the World Antidoping Agency (WADA).

The false self-certification will be prosecuted according to the law.
